Cardinals fly into US Bank Stadium to take on Vikes
The Minnesota Vikings (5-4, 2nd NFC North) have very little time to turn things around and stay above .500. While there is still time to take over the weak NFC North, there is no more time for a struggling offense that was locked out of the end zone in the second half last week against the Redskins.
The Cardinals (4-4, 2nd NFC West) are coming off a 23-20 win over the San Francisco 49ers. While not the most potent team in the league but the contest between Sam Bradford and Carson Palmer should be most interesting.
The Vikings will have to again use a patchwork offensive line but in the end they cannot use that as an excuse for not executing.
“It’s one of those things where we can’t make excuses,” guard Alex Boone said. “We can’t sit there and say, ‘Well, this guy’s new to me, this guy’s new to me, I don’t know how he’s going to play.’ That just doesn’t jibe in this league anymore. It’s going to be on us as an offensive line to pick things up quick this week.”
